I am currently employed with a company I’ve been with for multiple years. I make relatively decent money, but the companies ethics and morals have significantly dropped to almost inhumane over the years. With that said I have applied to numerous other companies and have received multiple other offers.
I think I have decided on an offer to accept although there were a few positions I was waiting to her back on after my interviews. One of the companies recruiters reached out to me today. To be fair they are a new company, but my current position is exactly the same as the position open that I have done for the past several years. With that said, it is an incredibly specialized field and I do not doubt at all this company would be very hard pressed to find someone as qualified an applicant, not to be narcissistic, I am just saying that my current job description is an exact match of the open position.
Anyways I was interested in their offer, I get an email today. Recruiter states they are very impressed with my experience and that they invite me to a job fair they are holding early next week. I was shocked to say the least. It’s been several weeks from the interview and they did indicate that I was basically their first interview, however I am not begging them for a job.
- I am currently employed.
- I received multiple other offers some within hours of my interview.
- I am a very well suited candidate.
Anyways I replied that it was too short of notice, being I am currently employed and they said they would have another next month. Companies are actually insane, there is an employment shortage and you invite your already interviewed applicants to a Job Fair? A second interview, okay no problem, but if you are so impressed, you better offer people a job not let relevant candidates slip through your unnecessary and demeaning hoops.
