Interview with someone just shady enough?

The other day I mass applied for a new job and one got back to me. Probably should've paid more attention but, when I was called for a intro, the woman reminded me of what I applied for and it was for a part time bookkeeper position that was on-site with no wiggle room for remote/hybrid. The first red flag is, when she asked why my last job lasted two months (I got fired so my boss' daughter could get the job because she lost hers and had to move back home), I tried to leave in vague. She said she'll call my previous employer and ask about that. Um, NO, you can't. You can only ask to confirm I worked there and that's it. So now, I'm already checked out and hope nothing further happens. I got an interview set up and left it earlier. I interviewed with the…

I interviewed with the CEO and he went through his troubles about taking on the role of their 'accountant' while still doing his job. So, now a second red flag is on the raise. Now, I'm thinking I'm selling myself short on the salary (I requested $50,000/annually) because it was a part time bookkeeper and he's telling me I'd have more complicated responsibilities which means I can ask for more (around another $5k-$8k, bringing me to $55k-$58k).

So I'm more annoyed now. He asks if I have my CPA and I tell him its a work in progress, and he just nods. So, if I pass, my salary demands can now call for an additional $10k-$15k more and that's on top of the extra (somewhere around $65,000-$73,000). He goes on more about the additional responsibilities and how, if hired, I'd be part time for 90 days in a 'training/testing period'. I'd be traveling 20 miles for somewhere between $20-$25/hr before being hired on full time, if we click. Now it hits, he's not looking for a bookkeeper or accountant, he's looking for a CFO and I should be asking more money. In my area, I asked for an average bookkeeper salary of $50,000. The average CFO salary in my position should be asking for 5 times that amount. Guy says its a nationwide company and its transactional company, so it could be sitting on a lot of money for me to request this. Unfortunately, I don't have CFO level experience or qualifications but, this mf is out here is trying to screw me and everyone else that applies for this position. If I get called back about being accepted, I'm straight up telling this guy all of this and see where it goes (very likely he'll hang up on me with some colorful language and/or confusion about this salary change).

I guess I'm kinda looking for it all: advice, chit chat, clarification, drag this lady/CEO/company for this application process, potential reality check for thinking I'm going to tell this dude I want a $250,000 salary after initially applying for a part time bookkeeper job, etc. Anyone want to chime in?
