Involuntary termination after quitting?

I put in my 2 weeks with my former job after receiving a job offer for another company. Spoke with everyone in leadership and ended on (in my opinion) amicable terms. They even invited me back to work with them if the opportunity arose. Now, about 2 weeks after starting my new job, I’ve received a letter from my former insurance company stating they are terminating my insurance immediately due to involuntary termination. It doesn’t really matter to me as I’m on a new insurance plan, but the verbiage threw me off? Can they say involuntary if I was the one who resigned?
