Is anyone else excited/proud when they encounter a place that is too short staffed to operate?

A few years ago this would have made me selfishly angry, but now I've ran into it three different times and every time it makes me happy. Knowing that people were able to bet on themselves enough to leave what must have been a shit job gives me at least a little hope that we can do at least something. I'd be lying if I said there was no schadenfreude involved in watching the boomers grumble as they doddle back to their cars, but overall it's great seeing people with enough agency to give two fingers to abusive management.
