I read and hear about how inflation is going up, there are shortages, housing crisis is going to get worse and that it isn't a good time to go into a new role becayse they'd cut new hires first.
I had an interview with a tech company and they told me they're going through a freeze. I'm not in tech but my current company got rid of my role and is pressuring me to move into a new position because they were questioning how profitable my position was. I'm going to take it cause they act like it is my choice when it really isn't. I know with profits my company has been under fire and concerned.
I'd like to know your take, is there a lot of fear mongering going on or do you think it is a bad idea to move to a new company and that the flexibility that workers had during the great resignation is over?
And is a recession guaranteed at this point
