Is it bad if a Private Owner hasn’t heard of the EEOC?

I interviewed for a job today at a pet groom and board, I mentioned I was fired from another one but didn't add it to my resume because, they violated the EEOC and the new pet place owner asked what is was. Is this a red flag?
