So I made a post yesterday regarding how unbelievably shitty I am being treated at work since I put my 2 weeks notice in yesterday. Here is the link

I am leaving for a once in a lifetime opportunity that I have worked so hard for. I wished they understood but they do not at all and don't care about my financial situation or about me going to college for 7 years to get my dream career. Also it pays a hell of a lot more than 18 dollars an hour.
Anyways today isn't any better. I feel upset and awkward because my boss (GM) has been ignoring me all day we walk by eachother and he doesn't say a word and neither do I. It's so weird. It sucks because we had a pretty good relationship before I put my notice in. So I talked to my other direct manager today and I said “So john(my GM name) won't talk to Me at all and it is awkward so I will go through you I guess about the work that needs to be done.” Of course their like a cult so he has to defend John and say, “Well it's because you committed to the rest of the year and we gave you a raise, you told us you would be here until you graduated.” (He always brings up that they gave me a raise and they act like I am ungrateful. I make 18 dollars an hour it's not a lot and they gave me a 2 dollar raise. I know damn well both the managers make 100 grand a year or more.) I Said, “No I said I would probably be here until then I didn't promise anything. And if I told you I was leaving sooner than graduation I'm sure you wouldn't have let Me stay.” He's like “that's not true”.
Bullshit it isn't.
The only reason I'm still here after being treated so unprofessional is because I don't want a future employer to see that I didn't finish my 2 weeks notice. But I don't think I can stay here that long. I have like a pit in my stomach everyday I go to work. They hate me and think I betrayed them. I have been nothing but a hard worker here and it is horrible the way they are treating me.
Anyways to get to my main question. Do employers usually contact old employers and ask about them?
Also if I didn't put them as a reference would a company still figure out I worked for them and call them? I dont want this to ruin my future if I don't finish my 2 weeks.
