Work situation

I currently work for a small chemical shop. Hot, dangerous work with hard physical labor. It pays ok and the benefits are meh. The owners are nice people but it sucks right now. We lost a bunch of people to leaving for other jobs, they laid off some slackers because work was slowing down. There used to be 16 workers running two lines(10 on one line and 6 on the other)..we are now down to 10 workers total for both lines.(6 and 4). I myself do the job of 2 people…i also head out in the morning to deliver and pick up parts for our job as a driver's assistant. I get paid for this as a bonus every week(around 125).. here's the problem: the owners have no intention of hiring more people. My foreman doesn't speak up most of the time ..the “GM” is the owners wife's 30 something…

I get paid for this as a bonus every week(around 125).. here's the problem: the owners have no intention of hiring more people. My foreman doesn't speak up most of the time ..the “GM” is the owners wife's 30 something yr old son who is on salary and shows up once or twice a week after 12 pm if he feels like it. The work isnt picking up yet but if it does we are in for a world of hurt. The 2 guys that work with me are a 40 yr alcoholic (woman beater) and a 47 yr old dirt bag(also an abuser of his mentality challenged wife) drunk hillbilly type that doesn't want to do this job anymore. Both of these guys are past their prime. I myself am in my 40s but I take care of myself and don't stay up all night boozing Monday through Sunday. The owner took over the business from his father who had a stroke. He runs his own business on the side and comes in to our job late mornings and goes right to his office without talking to anyone. I feel like this company is a chair with 3 good legs and one bad one..all it's going to take is one kick and it will all come down..i plan on leaving ASAP. My wife works at a elderly care home and she is in a similar short staffed over worked situation. This is why people don't want to work for these companies.
