I took a new job about a month ago. It’s a salaried position. And it’s a small company… by small I mean there are 6 of us and a ‘CEO’.
When I first took the job, I asked the ‘CEO’ to be set up on direct deposit. She took a voided check, made me fill out the form… ya know. Well, my last 2 checks have been paper checks. Which is FINE! Exceeeeeeeept they’re taking an entire day to deposit (ex – I get paid on the 31st, I don’t see it till the 1st) and I’m basically having to beg…??…for them?
So – first check, I looked at my account and there was no deposit. So, I contacted her immediately and asked where it was. She said she’d write it out when she got to the office. I asked for it at 7:30AM and didn’t receive it till 4PM.
Then, today – second check, she was gone ALL morning. Didn’t even show up until 2PM. I went up and asked (bc ya know, I have bills to pay) if she’d written out the check yet. She then rolls her eyes, let’s out a long sigh and says “(My name), I haven’t even had time to think about that… so no. I have not written it. You’ll just have to give me a while.” And shoos me away… I did get it. But at like 3:30PM.
I mean.., this is WEIRD. right????
