I am not deaf but I am mute. There was an issue with my medication a few years back and I had a heart attack that left me mute and in a wheelchair.
I am essentially the second in command of a healthcare company. About 20 years ago a business rival of ours and his partner approached my boss with an offer. My boss was insulted and basically ruined the guys partner right in front of his face. Forcing him to work for us. He handles our distribution in our northern territories.
Anyway recently it has come to my attention that this man has been basically plotting our companies demise this whole time. He is building his own manufacturing facility and is planning to cut us out leaving us forced into bankruptcy.
I told my boss this. Remember I am mute and I had to dictate the message letter by letter to my nephews with a signaling device. I use a bell. It took all night.
I give it to my boss and he calls a meeting. The partner basically says its not worth his time responding to the accusation. As i was going to bed I overheard my boss making fun of me and my bell. Should I quit? Should I let the company crumble?
