Is my manager allowed to do that?

So I'm young and in the tech industry. I make “things” for clients (trying to stay anonymous lol). I randomly got fired on a Friday and was told I wasn't a good fit, and when I asked why HR/ the manager wouldn't give me a reason. The manager I had only has ~ 2 years of experience and is a total bitch. I think what happened was a new client she took on couldn't have their “thing” made because my team had no capacity to work on said project. It was passed through 3 employees and back to me. I was working on it but told her it wasn't ready yet (for a meeting she made last minute) and she had someone go through our server logs to see how much I was working on a specific dev environment and I got fired. Is this allowed or ??? My team…
