Long story short I work in a production job and am going on my 5th year. Last year out of the blue in like February our HR announced they will be fronting our vacation time starting the beginning of the following year, and that we won’t accrue any for 2021. We all were fucking pissed obviously, but now here I am in 2022. In January I was fronted my full 168 hours for the year. Now, they announced we no longer will be fronted and will start accruing based on hours worked again. So my balance is now at zero, with my work claiming we can go negative based on the integrity of the employee. Am I missing something here? I missed a full year of vacation pay, got fronted this year, then had it taken away to be told I’m supposed to accrue it hourly once again. Any help would be great as were all extremely confused and can’t get a clear answer.
