Is the niceness of the interviewer(s) correlated with the shittiness of the job?

I've had many jobs this year and been through many interviewers. 100% of the time, the interviewers at jobs that turned out to be shit were very nice and welcoming, and, naively, I took this as a sign the company was decent. They were probably just desperate to get employees. Bad pay, bad benefits etc. The interviewers that were more jerkish were for companies that turned out to have better pay and benefits. They knew they had the upper hand so didn't have to be very polite or pleasant. So is the niceness of the interviewer(s) correlated with the shittiness of the job, due to the employer being desperate for warm bodies?
