Is there a term for when an employer takes something that you had been given (Ex: a break written into your schedule) and turns it into a “perk” that needs to be requested (Ex: you can have a break only if you really need it and if you request it from your supervisor)? (Serious)

I'm not talking about government mandated breaks but other things… extra breaks, parking, water/snacks… where they were given by the employer freely at first and then the employer changes it to a “perk”. This shifts the perception from “we owe you this” to “you are asking me for something”. I think there is a term for when an employer uses this “strategy” to cut costs but can't remember it.
