I see a lot of posts saying leave your job, you will get much better pay elsewhere and I was really encouraged by that.
So when my job offered me an .80 cent raise after two years of pay freeze and working my ass off I told them to eff off in the nicest way possible and that I’d be looking elsewhere. Luckily, I am in a position where they cannot fire me and I kind of have them “by the balls”.
I have a fairly stacked resume and have been in management since I was 18 and am now in my 30s. I also have a college degree and I’m I think my experience stacks up well against what’s out there…start ups/Saas/KPI development etc.
The thing is, I’m getting almost 0 bites to the TONS of applications I’m putting in and it’s doing a NUMBER on my mental health. Especially after seeing scores of people on this sub say that the job market is booming and they found new jobs so quickly for so much more money. Is ANYONE ELSE in my shoes?
