Is it legal for a business to withhold cash tips until a employee has meet certain point in their training?
I started working somewhere where new employees do not get cash
tips until they’ve completed a test demonstrating they have a working
knowledge of the menu items. From
my understanding they are still in the
pool for tips made via credit card or
debit though.
