Been working for this company for a year and subject to a lot of mental “games” from my manager so I need some guidance.
I originally have unlimited PTO, I would take 1 day a month, rarely 2. My manager said it was a lot but refused to tell me how many I should take (so I could plan accordingly). 2 months ago he said “we gonna be super busy so no PTO from September to December, you can rest on xmas day”
I didn't say anything because he is often dramatic (saying we gonna be SUPER busy and we end up not busy at all). I requested 1 day off in September and 2 in October. While he accepted the September one, he waited until 2 days before my day off in October to tell me I couldn't go.
We are not busy at all, we are so not busy that I got moved to another team on top of my first team. I'm scared of asking more PTO now, I only took 7.5 this year (I feel like its not a lot right?) and all were for doctor stuff/hospital stay so I feel like I don't have any time to rest.
They make me feel like Im a lazy pos for requesting days off, what should I do?
