Is this reportable? and is it worth it?

I currently work at a restaurant, i live in New York. This is my last week working and i’m going to a new (much much better) job. i met up with my new job to fill out some paper work and such and the manager went over breaks with me, for 5 hours i’ll get a 15 min break, 30 minute lunch and she could see the look of shock in my face and asked if i get breaks at my current job. I do not, i always though NYS only requires breaks for 6 or more hour shifts. My current job will schedule me 5pm- close, which is 11pm, so a 6 hour shift. I’ve worked with a coworker who ended up having to stay for 8 hours and was never given a break. As far as i know, i have never seen a single person go on break…

My current job will schedule me 5pm- close, which is 11pm, so a 6 hour shift. I’ve worked with a coworker who ended up having to stay for 8 hours and was never given a break. As far as i know, i have never seen a single person go on break at this place. When i told this to my new job they told me they could be reported and fined for this. My question is, because the way my current job schedules it says “5-close” not “5-11”, is that some sort of loop hole or is it still reportable? and is it worth it?. usually i’ll get out early and only end up working 4-5 hours anyways, but there are some nights i’ve had to stay after close because of how busy we are.

Also if it was reported, who will it effect negatively? If it’s just the owner i have no issue because they are a huggeee piece of shit, i don’t want to give too many details but i will say they break more laws than just not giving breaks.
