My mom's health is declining, and she's on hospice. I had a former co worker who left the job due to his struggles with his mom's passing. My supervisor told me alot of what happened to him, that he sent her texts that made her feel uncomfortable, that his mental state wasn't right.
Now with my news, I was worried she would blabber. I told her I was uncomfortable with everything she said about the coworker. She set up a meeting where I had to talk to her. In that meeting, she showed me a text and personal picture of the former co worker, and they were coming out as trans. She was saying when my mom passes, I will be able to survive. And basically what I am going through isn't as bad as them since their mom passed and they are coming out trans.
This has happened months ago, but I am so uncomfortable at my job. I haven't told any co workers. My friend who's partner came out thought this was vile. The supervisor also admitted to showing another co worker and manager. It's absolutely ruined the work environment for me. Problem is, I need FMLA due to needing days off here and there.
What would you do if you were me?
