It is baffling how much companies dont listen to their workers.

This isnt an experience post or anything, unless you want to count my personal experiences into what I'm about to say. It's really just a rant. It just amazes me how companies ask how they can make working conditions better, but ignore every wage suggestion they get. Or when they are trying to hire people and say nobody wants to work, but the reason they cant hire anyone is people are ignoring their postings, or applying and asking for more money, and they dont hire those people because they're asking for too much. It's been said before and I'm saying it again, nobody wants to work, for the price you're paying. It's amazing to me (more like frustrating and baffling) that companies are either failing or have high rollover rates because their employees arent being paid appropriately for their work. It's amazing to me (more like frustrating and baffling) that companies are either failing or have high rollover rates because their employees arent being paid appropriately for their work. And they dont understand why. Just raise your wages. I have had 3 jobs that I would have been happy staying at and busting my a** over 40 hours a week for if I were getting paid more than $10 an hour.

And now with all the free/low cost school options out there so people can get quick certifications or degrees, so they can get better paying jobs, these companies that arent paying their employees decent wages are seeing a bigger decline. And it's only going to get worse unless they pay better. I just got signed up for a certification class, because I got fired from my last job because I sprained my knee and they wouldnt make accommodations for me to sit while working, even with a doctors note. Which is a whole other issue on its own.

I'm not entirely sure where I wanted to go with this rant, but that's all it really was meant to be, a rant. If anyone wants to have a discussion in the comments, I'd love that.

If the mods dont like this post then so be it, I didnt see anything in the rules against this but I'm blind (not litterally, sorta) so I may have missed it.
