It was my second day of a new job and they left me alone to expedite the kitchen. How should I tell my boss I quit?

Basically, I was hired to be a server/hostess, but was told that my training would include learning every role that a waitress should know, which was bussing tables, running food, as well as stocking and cleaning. I was okay with this of course and frankly felt more comfortable starting off slow. I started off food running and despite the difficult table numbering scheme and fancy menu, I did a great job. I didn't mess up a single thing and felt comfortable in the role. In fact, my boss told me I was excelling her expectations by a long shot. The first day had some bad vibes, but was largely okay and I had good expectations for the job. The issue starts when my second day, I walk in and start prep.

I wasn't told what to do, they just sorta… expected me to do shit. But I prepped everything I could, stocked, cleaned, and started asking if I could help out other team members since I was done so early. One waitress asks me if I can help her put out decorative candles, and I say absolutely! So i follow her to the stock room and fill up my arm with oil candles. I noticed they had sticky residue on them but they were oil candles so of course they'd be oily. As soon as I walk out, the boss scolds me for holding too many candles as they can break. Not a problem, I put them down on the table and take two. She snatches it out of my hands anyway and sees the oily residue, and yells at me that I spilled the oil everywhere. I told her “Thats the way they are in the box, so all the ones in the box have residue too…” and she goes “Okay, well they all need to be cleaned then. You need to clean them.” So me attempting to help a fellow employee turned into me redoing her work, scrubbing all the candles of oil despite the fact I didn't do it. That was still all fine, I just chalked it up to my boss being annoyed and made more excuses for her. I tried to be a good sport about things.

Quickly I realized that orders were coming in shortly after we opened, and although we werent busy, I was by myself. It was just me and the cooks in the kitchen, no expediter. The tickets are coming through and no manager is around for me to get help. So I start reading the tickets off to the chefs, despite the fact I was told expediting is extremely difficult. Things start to get busy for me since I'm so new to everything, and even though there werent many customers, I quickly got backed up and was running around. The 4 waitresses were standing around doing nothing(all customers were at the bar), managers nowhere to be found, while I struggled to keep up with essentially running the kitchen by myself. Waitresses didnt even help me foodrun as they were supposed to. BUT THAT ISNT EVEN THE KICKER!

After 2.5 hours of me, on my second day, expediting and running all my own food whilst polishing silverware and plating desserts, my boss finally reappears. You would think she would see me expediting by myself and realize she mustve made an error and jump on and help me. NOPE! She comes in to complain that she saw one of the desserts I brought out had frosting on top that was spiky instead of smooth, and complained that “The desserts cant go out like that. The tops need to be smooth.”

I scoffed and rudely said “Okay?…” not believing that she left me by myself in the kitchen and even though I was excelling, she had the nerve to come in and nitpick me over something so trivial. I really wanted to say “Umm, IM RUNNING THE KITCHEN RIGHT NOW, sorrytoobusytofixyourdessert'sfrosting” but i chose to bite my tongue and AGAIN made excuses.

Then she disappeared again, but not before getting herself a meal, making me hand it to her despite the fact I was busy, and then went to the break room to eat. That was when I had had enough. She had the nerve to sit down all day while others around her, even her fellow owners cleaned and served, then leaves a new young person to RUN HER KITCHEN and goes and chows down.

So, r/antiwork, what should I say to this girl? Im 100% quitting and I would love to hear what you guys would say to this girl. If i choose one of your comments, I'll post the proof I sent it on Sunday and update it if/when she responds.
