It’s bull that employers want you to be currently employed vs unemployed, yet will only schedule interviews while you’re at your current job.

I work 9-5:30, Mon-Fri at a job I hate and want to quit. Only reason I don’t quit is because employed > unemployed in interviews. Literally the only reason I haven’t quit – I have enough money saved up to not work for 2 years. Got 2 calls today from 2 different employers that I was interested in today. Both wanted to schedule interviews with me on weekdays between 9-5. Bro, I am an entry level peasant – I can’t just tell me manager “hey is it okay if I take a 2 hour lunch break today.” Ffs, I don’t even get to pick when my breaks start. I just told them I’ll call them back when I can figure something out…. That’s not going to happen. Yes, I get it that the employees who do the hiring still have the same schedule as me. Well maybe their employers should…

Yes, I get it that the employees who do the hiring still have the same schedule as me. Well maybe their employers should allow them to have more flexible hours and do interviews before 9/after 5. I mean, most of them are wfh and can totally do that but whatever, fuck me and this planet.

End of rant. I wish I was a hot girl with a sugar daddy.
