CW: Strong language (just in case)
Long time lurker, first time poster. I just got passed over for a promotion that was by all rights, mine. And I don’t mean the typical self-entitled, I think I can do this job better than everyone. I mean I was DOING the job for 6 months while my would-be predecessor sat and talked on her phone and kissed ass. The company just announced they’ll pay for the first $8k of tuition and certification programs for programmer languages and various IT certification are free through Coursera. I’m getting my Supply Chain management certification on the company’s dime, and then dipping. Until then, I’m not lifting a finger to do ANY extra work. Screw this retail rat-race of a fruit-stand.
