I won’t say where or names, but I work at an assisted living facility. We work with the elderly, so at risk people when it comes to COVID-19. We still take all of the precautions, but like everywhere else, we are short handed.
I wasn’t feeling well yesterday, they told me to come in anyways. The first thing they do when I get there is a temperature check. It is 101.4°F. I think they’re about to send me home and the nurse taking my temp looks me straight in the face and says “Oh, that’s not a fever. You’re temperature is only up because your body is fighting off whatever you have. You’re good to go to work.”
I might be wrong, but isn’t that literally the definition of a fever?
