So the business (an at-home nursing agency) I’ve worked for for over 10 years is “flattening” its structure. Myself and several other managers are losing our positions.
Suffice to say, I’m disappointed, but pleased that they’ve showed their colors and happy to look elsewhere where loyalty and hard work are appreciated.
They haven’t given us our official end date yet (which seems crazy to me), so I see this as an opportunity. I will have access to all their programs and processes for at least the next couple of weeks!
I want to take the next period of time to make myself as employable as possible for the next step. I have begun the process of copying all of the projects and processes I developed and consider my intellectual property.
What else should I do, falling short of anything illegal, to optimise this opportunity?
