First red flag was him asking if I’m clean to work in a sub shop.
No alcohol or drugs?
Then he goes on to degrade me by writing things down about life values and virtues and repeating “and what does this say?” anytime he wrote something new.
Then we get to the part where he starts writing about how confidence in Latin means “to go with faith”…
Now religion is on the table. And if that’s not the biggest fucking red flag I’ve ever seen, I must be blind.
This guy starts telling me that my talents that he sees in me were given to me from God and then proceeded to pull a rosary from his pocket to tell me he had just come to mass before my interview.
This is where I say, hey- I’m really not comfortable with all this, I know I’m a good person, I’ve never needed a religion to tell me that…
“Are you an atheist?”
‘No, I just believe in myself.”
The guy starts to turn red and begins to verbally assault me with a list of all the reasons why it won’t work out with him, but cited me for not listening when he said “you haven’t shut your mouth once this whole interview.”
I tossed his paper of his writings back on the counter, told him “yeah, absolutely not gonna stand here and listen to this. Good luck with whatever you think you have got going on for yourself.”
