I (temporarily) work at a job center helping people make resumes and applying for jobs and the amount of times these people have to take an hour long assessment just to be told they didn't get the job because they somehow failed it is disheartening. Half the assessments are boot licking nonsense that nobody would actually do in real life or have nothing to do with the job they're applying to or is about stuff they should learn at the job. Job assessments should be illegal. They target older people, mentally disabled people, and even physically disabled people.
