I don't know if this has been asked before or if this is the correct place, but why do job descriptions have to sound so intimidating? Not saying I don't understand what the description is saying essentially, but if I had to describe my current job it definitely wouldn't be everything within my “job description”. Why can't jobs post your actual day-to-day activities? Like “mostly you'll be talking to customers/employees, putting stuff away, and the rest of the time trying to look busy”.
All I'm saying is we should have some kind of program that'll take the printed job description and actually tell you what you're going to be doing most of the time. Show of hands if you agree?
