I've gone to several job fairs over the years either when I was employed or unemployed. I mostly go to get information that I might use so i can brush up on my skill set. Now with the job engines like careerbuilder, indeed and the like, do you think Job fairs are a waste of time?
In some cases I've been there and the recruiters don't want to be bothered or tell you they're not hiring before you open your mouth to ask. Other times they're just there to advertise and not actually hire anyone. On some occasions they've had on the spot interviews. Unfortunately, they won't call you till a few months later or lucky if they call you at all.
