My current company is swimming the drain and I can't be without a job so I've been looking for work. Supposed to be preparing for nursing school but I may ditch that. Regardless, I've been looking for both full and part time remote and in person jobs and I just feel like guffawing at these requirements.
Many jobs require a Bachelor degree, 1-3 years experience (for ENTRY level supposedly) to pay $15/hr. I came across one that's starting at $11/hr. I considered picking up a medical scribe type job and they were the ones offering $11/hr to start. You can barely live anywhere on $15/hr, and certainly not in the cities some of these jobs are headquartered out of.
No benefits/trash benefits, expected to be available whenever, piss poor pay yet “people don't want to work”. Millennials and older GenZers are commonly holding at least 1-2 jobs if not making money elsewhere. So many professional fields are suffering because higher ups want to pay peanuts yet have people take on insane amounts of work.
I want a job with good insurance, good enough pay so I can have a good savings and live comfortably. That's all. I'm a reliable employee yet they seem to get shafted harder. I feel sorry for a classmate who has his MBA and all the jobs open are literally paying shit for those with masters degrees (that they require). Fuck all of this.
