Ugh. I don’t know if this is the appropriate subreddit to vent about this to but am so frustrated with this whole situation.
I had top surgery about four weeks ago, and was approved for an LOA. In my claim I requested off until December 10th, my surgeon sent them the paperwork stating I will not be able to go back to work until December 10th. I was sent a letter about two weeks into my LOA telling me I would need to request an extension after November 15th and would need the surgeon to fill out more medical paperwork in order for it to be approved. The paperwork was faxed to the surgeons office and the office sent a letter back once again explicitly stating I would not be able to go back to work until December 10th.
My case manager tells me that she received information stating that I am able to go back to work with restrictions after November 15th just lying about what the surgeon office explicitly stated in their letter.
I have also not received any of my short term disability pay. Fuck Sedgwick and fuck Starbucks.
