Hi there, I live in Los Angeles and work for a media company. They pay us through a payroll company.
Today is the second time they have not paid us.
I’ve worked with this media company before and they used to have a very efficient payroll company but recently switched to this new one.
By new I mean, not new to us, but it is a new company that is “still working out technical difficulties.”
I can deal with this happening once. Twice? Right at the beginning of the month after rent?
And when we asked about our paychecks just now at 10am, as they normally hit our bank accounts 12am every Friday, we were told they “should” come through today.
So basically, it’s not coming through today, but they want us to keep working.
Soo. Who is that I report and to who do I report? The media company, my actual employers, or the payroll company? And to who? I don’t know the OSHA equivalent to this.
