Long story short- applied to many jobs I have the skills and education for, applied to some that I would be over qualified for. This rant is regarding one interview I was meant to go to. Had to print out my resume and references, I had to walk to the printer shop and pay for this, and I had to take an Lyft to the location, which was around $80. (The scheduling for the interview was a little tight so I had to get there quicker instead of taking public transport, yes I am working on getting my license, my lease is ending soon, I will move to be closer to my job and get a car once I get my license) the person meant to interview me was a doctor and didn’t even have “time” for a 5-15 minute chat after I came as she was “busy” and “on the phone” with a patient despite knowing days in advance I was coming by for an interview. She barely glanced at me, didn’t even say hi and walked elsewhere. She had time to make a quick TikTok by the way and her husband told me to get out of the shot. Her husband was the one who set up the interview, but he filled in for her (barely) and asked the receptionist to tell me her day to day duties. After 15 minutes, she still wasn’t available and he told me he had to go pick up their kids so I had to leave. I’ve seen a lot of unprofessionalism but this was just awful. Never even got an email apologizing. I’m still in shock that this happened less than 24 hours ago. Really pissed over this ordeal. But I’m not too unhappy I went because I got a look at their office and it did not look good, and it seemed way too busy for one more person to fill the spot. On to the next! (I know the post is a little jumbled, I found it hard to string all my thoughts together)
