Just a rant…

Idk if this is even appropriate for this sub but idk where else to post. I was referred to a company by my neighbor, who has referred another neighbor and they both work there now. It was for a part time recruiter job. When applying there was no information on what they were looking for, only a zoom call to watch that basically told you all the great reasons you should work there and was selling you on the job. They kept saying it’s a great job for moms who need a flexible job, you only need to work 5-6 hours a day, you don’t need any skills except time, etc etc. I had to take a couple of weird assessments which included a personality test and a timed math test which was intended to trick you with confusing word problems and etc. And then I had a 5 minute…

And then I had a 5 minute interview where they only asked me 3 questions.

I didn’t get the job. I so badly wanted it. And I don’t even understand what they were looking for or why I didn’t get it.

This was such a weird, unusual experience for me and I feel like I am going to be stuck in call center work for the rest of my life, because customer service is all I’ve ever done, and it makes me hate my life.

Ugh
