Just a rant about my first job

So.. I started working at my first job not too long ago and as a full time university student, its kinda been difficult managing time. Way too many all-nighters to count. I got this job not too long ago and I enjoyed it at first because my coworkers were nice and one of my managers were really nice to me. Its kind of a hard work since I often work in the kitchen and I almost get no breaks for 6 or 7 hours depending on who I work with. I also work at the front which means I definitely don't get breaks but thats fine because I don't like feeling like I'm not doing anything. The first red flag was that there were wayyy too many people quitting within a week. Some were terrified of the bosses and now that I know a lot of my coworkers, everyone agrees…

Some were terrified of the bosses and now that I know a lot of my coworkers, everyone agrees on one thing: the management is total bullshit. So many people quit the kitchen job within 3 shifts and some were fired. The bosses and some managers called me many times while I'm off work. They also watch us like a hawk through the camera and texts us when we talk too much. They also uses embarrassment and fear tactics to keep us in line.

Oh yeah they're also terrible at managing their workers. One time, they hired a few people for the kitchen when we were definitely lacking people working at the front and now, there's about 8 ish people working at the front and not enough at the back because a couple of them quit on their first day.

I also learned that they take all our tips. I made 80 dollars just in one night and I don't see one cent of it because there's no law prohibiting them from taking it. They used to never come by but they've been coming every day recently and its been stressing a lot of the employees out because the bosses aren't very… let's just say… friendly. Its fine to keep a professional stand but like… they're not just unfriendly, they basically stare at us with a very condescending look on their faces all the time.

They also just watch recordings of us working and questions us about it which would be fine but then it gets really personal for some reason?
Like i vibe pretty well with one of the managers and one of the supervisors because they're nice to me and funny and then the boss just asks people if there's something going on between us? Like okay, maybe asking is fine but why not ask me about it? Why do they always just go behind my back about it? Its like they're trying to start something like a rumor?
This has always been the problem. They always go behind the persons back. Always asks someone around them. Always talks about them behind their back rather than just telling the person themselves. Wtf.

Another thing that drives me insane is that most of us normal workers get minimum wage but the supervisors and most managers only have a one dollar difference. It would be fine if it ended there but man oh man…
They have a manager who they personally know and they get paid almost double minimum wage for doing mostly the same job. They've been gone for months on end too, neglecting their job with no consequences because they get special treatments.

I swear this has been giving me so much more stress than my uni and personal life combined. Probably going to get depressed if I keep working this job honestly.

Ty for reading my rant.

Tldr; management is shit and I'm gonna cry about it
