Just a rant about the demand to stay “productive”

In the last couple of years we've been through a global pandemic in which many people lost friends or family members, there's a war in Europe causing widespread economic turmoil exacerbated by price fixing energy cartels and no real wage growth for a decade. There's another “no intimacy” pandemic in the form of monkeypox, drought in many parts of the world because of climate change and right now in the UK there is also a sense of loss and grief for many after the Queen died. Yet throughout all of this the expectation from employers is to pretend like nothing is happening. Keep working, keep being “productive”, keep pretending like any of the petty business concerns somehow outweigh these huge societal problems. If you find it hard it's your fault for not being “resilient” enough. Don't know about anyone else, but I'm so tired and exhausted and feel like something…
