Just a thought.

It is very simple. Working class standards of living are inversely proportional to the size of the “skim” allocated to executive salaries and shareholder dividends. Same goes for private healthcare and private prisons, where the “skim” determines how much money remains to deliver services. Hint: not until the 1980s did magnates truly recognize by how much skim could increase without producing torch and pitchfork bearing mobs seeking blood.
