Just another POS workplace

Completely unsolicited and randomly my coworker, who has the exact same Job Title and half the years at our company, showed me their paystub. They make 6 cents more. Now, clearly it's not the amount, but rather the principal of the matter. Not to mention this particular individual is well known to do the absolute bare minimum in our department, spends most of their shift away from their desk either using the washroom, eating, or otherwise distracting others. I guess aside from a rant, I'm wondering what if anything you guys would do? Specifically, since the company claims them and I are the “same” — we have the exact same Job Title, how can I use this to my advantage? In other words I actually do have to complete my tasks, I do work, and my tasks are significantly different and more involved than theirs. I'm thinking maybe I just…

Now, clearly it's not the amount, but rather the principal of the matter. Not to mention this particular individual is well known to do the absolute bare minimum in our department, spends most of their shift away from their desk either using the washroom, eating, or otherwise distracting others.

I guess aside from a rant, I'm wondering what if anything you guys would do?

Specifically, since the company claims them and I are the “same” — we have the exact same Job Title, how can I use this to my advantage? In other words I actually do have to complete my tasks, I do work, and my tasks are significantly different and more involved than theirs.

I'm thinking maybe I just stop doing my tasks, and begin doing theirs, after all we're the “same” right?
