I just got my paycheck and I was going over it and for one of the shifts that I picked up they paid me $11.50/hr instead of $17/hr. When I asked about they said that it was bc I clocked in at 2:53 instead of 2:45 for my 3 pm shift that they called to ask me to pick up at 2:15, I usually work nightshift so I was dead asleep when I got the call so I had to get completely ready. I’m honestly furious
EDIT TO CLARIFY: I’m in Fl. They’re trying to say that $17/hr is “premium pay” and if you’re later that 2:48 then you don’t get it. Despite the fact that the “base pay” is below the federal minimum wage.
