Just got a raise, but where is it?

I work as a courier for a package delivery company that’s contracted through a third party (I think. I say this because I deliver for “Company A” but I’m an employee of and get paid by “Company B”). As a reward for recent efforts and hard work put in, my manager told me that I would get a dollar raise. A week passed, and I noticed my hourly rate stayed the same. I asked him when I would see a change, and he responded with “it’ll take a while, it has to go through different people first”. I shrugged it off (which is not what you should do) and a few days later he told me that the paperwork filed for the raise had the wrong info on it and that they had to push it back through. I put in at least 50 hrs a week lately and bust…
