I am leaving my company to try out a new one. One that is paying me considerably more, traveling considerably less and having more kore diversely. Only hangup is they are starting me out at 25 hours versus the 40-45 I usually work. I did the math, I’ll be getting paid about exactly the same amount. My parents are furious that I am working less but making more. They think I am being lazy and immature. My father just said “some of us work jobs we hate for pay that sucks to give you the life we do, maybe you should follow our example.” That is so ridiculous. Keep working a shitty job for shitty pay because its the right thing to do? No thanks.
