I had a bad attack at work yesterday and left 15 minutes early. I made sure my tables were fine (I’m a waitress). Started not breathing very well and took my inhaler. It didn’t help so I called my mom to get me and told my manager.
She didn’t say anything and I went home to relax and decided on going to the ER if it got worse. Messaged her and she didn’t say anything back.
I’m expected at work at 6 today and she just messaged me at 2 and said I’m fired for being unreliable and “low work standards”.
I’ve never had a problem at work, she’s never gave me any feedback and I’ve been there for 2 months. She didn’t even ask if I was okay. She’s a really bad manager.
What do I do? Do I sue? I didnt go to the hospital so there’s no record but there were witnesses that can say I couldn’t breathe. Not sure what to do.
