Vent/celebration
Just sent in my two weeks at my part-time seasonal sales associate retail job. After being scheduled in during classes, being called in during classes, and having breaks taken away from me mid-shift; I bit the bullet and handed in my two weeks after I completed my shift. While I'm not looking forward to discussing matter with my manager, I am free from that company.
While working here, I'd feel violently ill after working a four-hour shift, coming home to having severe anxiety attacks; because of all the smells. I am wearing a properly fitted KN95 mask and still feel like garbage. Not giving time off for medical appointments. Unrealistic sales goals and essentially having to pester customers. Also the Xmas music before HALLOWEEN, and six different versions of “All I Want for Xmas is You” an hour.
This company is known for hiring A LOT of people for the holiday season, and treating their employees poorly. (I mean most do sadly) . I enjoy making money so I can afford to live and go school (even though this should not the case), this is not it.
