im being paid barely above minimum wage for my internship but with the hours that are expected of me, i actually end up making less than minimum wage or exactly that. i get how important wlb really is. i always really wanted to make some good in the world but now im considering just selling out for a high-paying relatively chill tech job where i code like 3 hours a day and then call it a day.
ive always worked really hard and i don't mind working a lot, i think its also partially that i don't really think im doing interesting work right now. i was also blessed that with the jobs that i did work i was paid relatively really well. i really don't think i would mind working >60 hours a week if it was a company i really cared about, since i worked that much in high school, right now i just feel more like an overglorified secretary than someone actually making impactful contributions to society.
