I live in Maine, I’ve been “coached” multiple times for not wearing a bra even though I’ve never not worn a bra to work. It’s a frequent issue apparently even though I follow all the rules listed in the dress code here. I don’t think they can force me to wear multiple bras and I wouldn’t do that anyway.
I feel like this could fall under gender discrimination because I don’t think I’d be getting coached for it if I was male. My nipples are also pierced but idk if that would make a difference because my store doesn’t limit piercings or personal expression in general. I’ve read about cases in other states where companies aren’t even allowed to require women to wear bras in general because they can’t apply the same rules to men.
I’m a manager here and it really feels like I’m being targeted for being female and having piercings and I’m really getting sick of it.
