Lack of communication is becoming intolerable

I started a new job back in January, and since then I’ve noticed that it’s like a revolving door, not just in the company, but in my dept specifically. Besides having a workload that I find unmanageable due to being perpetually short staffed, the lack of communication has been driving me crazy. People will put in their 2 weeks notice and none of the managers will speak about it or address it with the team; it’s like they want to pretend it’s not happening.

There’s no game plan set in place, and no plan for who will take on their work. Often times the departing teammate has sole access to certain bank accounts and files, and after they leave it takes weeks for them to give us access to everything, and by then there’s a backlog of work to be completed.

They’ve also gotten into the habit of sending out letters to our clients stating that they can reach out to me regarding changes to their accounts and payment methods, but without them alerting me first that my contact info was being provided, or clueing me into what changes are being made. I end up getting bombarded with calls and emails asking for help, and I’m unable to answer any of their questions because I’m just as lost as they are.

I feel like this company does offer some nice perks, generous PTO, many paid holidays, low cost benefits, hybrid schedule, some free lunches, holiday parties, swag; however I don’t know how much longer I can tolerate the lack of communication and ever increasing workload.
