As a last FU from my employer of almost 15 years after giving 1 month notice and even finding my replacement-tiring up every loose end-I learned that my last day of employment 4/8 was my last day of health insurance.
Mind you this is a multi system hospital mega power with commercials and highway signs boasting their humanity.
15 years and guess what your going away present is- you’re uninsured!
Well, good for me my new job that starts in 4 days has day 1 health insurance.
The finality of the job hurt more with this one act then losing my work family and seniority.
