this is from a few years back but just seen a post that reminded me of it, i was at a useless well known company for years, always dealing with the most gruelling crap, and applied for a position of quality analyst, well get to the interview to hear those wonderful corporate words “we are doing this in a new way”, queue 30 people bejng paired up in a big room, and told to play out a feedback interview, taking special time to ask the other person, what they think they should have done rather than just tell them, which was what everykne else was doing, thought i had it in the bag.
boy was i wrong, the person who was friends with the interviewers got the job, and then a week later, i got an email, with the feedback that i should have done exactly what j did do, because surprise surprise 3 nepotistic asses, cant suprervise a room of 30 people, and instead picked their buddy and then just sent a blanket email out.
left a few weeks later and never looked back, would rather be skinned than work at that company afain
