Leaving toxic job. Last working day is next week. Feeling awkward.

Hi All, I have been working at my current job since 3 years and last one year has been very difficult. The management and the team is very toxic. Few days back I had panic attack. I’m not in good mental and physical shape. I am suffering from depression and anxiety. I got burned out as I took very few PTOs. It was very difficult to cope up with. I even complained to the HR regarding director and the manager but finally I decided it’s enough and gave in my two-weeks notice without backup job offer. Next week (Tuesday) is my last working day. Yesterday I had argument with my senior team member over creating transition documents. I had good relationship with the director but last one year that got ruined. Hi All,

I have been working at my current job since 3 years and last one year has been very difficult.

My manager who was hired last year is the reason for this toxicity.

Usually, when someone is on notice period the manager or the director make an announcement that the particular team member would be leaving when the person has given his notice in the upcoming stand-up meeting. But the director didn’t do this when I gave notice. Now next week is my last day. I am not happy and mentally exhausted.

On my last working day, co-incidentally we have our team stand-up meeting. I guess the director will announce my departure to the team. Senior team members of the team already aware of my resignation. Only our product manager doesn’t know that I am leaving.

What should I say in the stand-up meeting? I don’t have a backup job offer. If somebody asked me as to where I am going what should I say? I guess manager and the director know that I don’t have a backup job offer. I even don’t feel like sending farewell email. Should I make some excuse and skip the stand-up meeting?
