Legal for employee to deny PTO payout?

I'm in Rhode Island, as the title says, I am wondering if it would be legal to deny a PTO payout if I quit without notice. I am currently lining up another job and would like to get out of this one ASAP, but if it means giving up that pay, I could stuck it out. I have been with this company for about a year and a half if that makes any difference.
